About

Hello Ladies, Grab your jars, pitchers, and buckets.

In ancient times, water wasn’t available from faucets or spigots; it was drawn from a well. Genesis 24:11 mentions that the women of the city would draw water from the well in the evening:

“And he made his camels to kneel down outside the city by a well of water at the time of the evening, the time when women go out to draw water.”

The women would primarily come in the evening with buckets and jars to draw water from the well. The well was also a place for matchmaking, as seen in Genesis 24:67 with the marriage of Isaac and Rebekah, and a place for gathering news and information.

Speaking of gathering information, I pray this Community will be that place for you. I hope that Women at the Well can be a place where you gain both biblical and healthful information as you walk with the Lord.
